No Internet, No Connection to the Outside World: Gaza Alone, The World Silent

If you've watched the news, or have been on social media in recent days, you'll know that Gaza has been cut off from the outside world. How, you may ask? Israel has cut off all telephone and internet services in the region. Now, the people of Gaza have no way of relaying any information to each other, let alone the outside world. The only current method of communication in Gaza is through the speakers of the Masjids in Gaza.

And what has western media, or even our own governments have said about this? Nothing. People in our governments continue to support Israel, without no regards for the innocent civilians of Gaza. Those who support Israel, refuse to acknowledge the truth about their actions.

We, the public, however, cannot stay silent. We must continue to post and repost what we see on social media, to get the world to pay attention. We must try to reach out to our political leaders and convince them to renounce their support for Israel. We must continue to protest and boycott all who support Israel blindly.

I myself condone Hamas, because the answer to end the occupation does not rely in violence. It relies on communication with the outside world, with our leaders, and allies, so that we are not forgotten. However, Hamas is not the only group at fault, as the world has turned a blind eye to Israel's actions against Palestine for the last 70 years. Palestine has reached its breaking point, but the world continues to refuse to recognize their suffering.

I will keep this post short, but these next few questions are for every political leader and news outlets in America. Can you condone Israel the same way you condone Hamas, and blame the Palestinian Population? Can you continue to justify Israel's actions because of one attack by Hamas, knowing that Israel has crossed all limits in retaliation? How long can you continue to say Israel was the sole victim, knowing that over 5000 people have been killed in Gaza, a majority being children alone?
